There is a high anxiety bit of legislation that is working its way around the US right now, it has started in 5 states so far, but is expected to gain momentum with future states. What is happening right now is the states are trying to adopt a cross state tax to be imposed even if you don’t have a brick and mortar store in the state you sell items to someone in. It is very confusing and needless to say is going to put the hurt on some peoples businesses because they are not going to be able to compete with the internet sites that are currently not having the internet tax imposed on. Lynn Terry has done a great job summarizing what is going on and there is a great debate on ClickNewz right now discussing it… You know there is nothing like getting kicked when you are down. Way to go government leaders!  Hey go check that out and come back here and leave a comment when you are done.

So, in light of this recent internet tax, I wanted to share with you 3 ways to further monetize your blogs to help you generate more revenue to get through all of this economic mess.

1. Would be create a membership site out of your blog, have different levels of membership and a great conversion tactic to get the freebies to start paying for quality content.  You can find a great product to do this at Membernaire.com, as a matter of fact, here is what Jimmy D Brown has to say about membership sites. “The easiest way to get monthly recurring income without a lot of work struggling to come up with original content, without buying high-priced scripts and without waiting around for results.” Go Check out his site, he does a great job explaining step by step what to do. I have been going through his course for about 3 months now, and I think his explanations are concise and easy to follow. Plus he has a great assistant, her name is Nicole Dean. 2. The second way to monetize your blog would be to use affiliate marketing to generate a revenue. You can find many networks to find products to sell. Some of them would be azoogle ads and pepperjam network. Again, I have a product for you to use to learn how to promote the affiliate links with. It is another Jimmy D Brown program, and there is a reason I am using his products right now.. It’s because they work. He is a very trusted internet marketer out there, and he has helped my business grow over the last couple months. Here is the link to his Affiliatenaire.com program. 3. Lastly, there is the PPC method… I would do a search in Google for how to best use Adsense to set up a campaign for your business model.  I have not mastered Adsense yet, so you are going to have to find out where to get the info that is gonna work for you. You might also want to look into Yahoo Publisher Network on how to monetize your blog. I have included the links as a starting point for your search. Be creative and come up with more terms to find the information you want to know about.

Well I finally found some research about the whole Bing vs. Google debate.  I am going to leave this one to the experts at Website Magazine to summarize the Catalyst Group Study.  I have been doing some futsing on Bing myself lately, and I do agree the results are very relavent.  It will be interesting how this big debate on search engines is gonna pan out by the end of the year. I am sure there will be more information as time goes on about the best ways to utilize SEO to get better listed on Bing for affiliate marketing purposes also… As I hear more I will keep you posted..

I have been doing a lot of research lately with regard to Internet and Affiliate marketing. In the process, I have come across a bunch of best tools to use for helping with your online business efforts. So many in fact that you will probably get dizzy researching them all.  I noticed some people call their brain, or their computer, or their internet connection a tool, but for the sake of argument I am gonna call those givens.  If we didn’t have brains, computers, or internet… we would not even be here in the first place. So aside from that.

Here are my 3 picks for my favorite’s and why I like them…

The first one is Roboform, and here are the reasons why I like it so much:

• Remembers Your Passwords
• Logs You Into Online Accounts Automatically with One Click
• Secures Your Information
• Prevents Identity Theft
• Is Easy to Use
• Fills online forms with one click

The list could probably go on, but the one thing that I want to share with you that is not on this list is the Time savings you will incur from using Roboform. If I had to save all my user names and passwords to a separate spreadsheet and  copy and past every time I wanted to go to a website, not to mention bookmarking the website and trying to find it in my 1,000 bookmarks.  The time you will save will more than pay for this awesome piece of software in just one week. I know that sounds like an ad, but seriously.. this software was and has been recommended by every IM (Internet Marketing) Guru out there.  If you don’t get this you are wasting serious time you could be doing other things like generating more traffic, or developing new products to sell. Enough said…

The next favorite tool I like is WordPress.  It is open source so it is free, it has tons of plugins so you can do anything from posting articles, to selling widgets on your site.  Definitely worth Checking out, and if you really want the best online blogging experience get the Thesis Theme for it also… “More simply put, WordPress is what you use when you want to work with your blogging software, not fight it.”

Next, Mine and half the planets favorite tool(s) is Google.  There is a list in that google link of all of their products and projects. Everything from keyword searching to spotting trends, photo albums, stores… you name it and google has it. They even have a free suite of publishing tools similar to Office.

Lastly, you have the email autoresponder. This is one of your best friends and one that you definitely want to get as soon as your budget for your business will allow you to do so. The autoresponder is going to allow you to send email letters, publish an opt-in form on your website, create follow up messages for your email list, manage email campaigns, keep track of your email statistics, and the list goes on and on.  I personally use Aweber right now I always hear great things about them, and have always had great luck with their level of professionalism and their customer/tech support is bar none.

I am sure you might try to argue that there are free tools of everything you listed here.. I know there is so no argument here about free. I still use some free tools just because they are so great for the cost… lol can’t beat nothing!
